Mastering the slide

Hudson loves playing at the park, and has now mastered the sliding board. He's becoming such a big boy.

A day at the park

Hudson loves the park so much. So the other day, we took a few pictures. Even with a few shadows, they turned out pretty special!

In other news Hudson got his 6th tooth last night! He was having a very hard time at 2 am, and then he woke up this morning with his other front tooth! No more Mr. Arkansas! (I lived there - I can say that.) Yay!!

Fun at Rodeo Austin

Hudson's first rodeo! Kendra's company did the website ( so we got season tickets as part of the deal. Kirk is on the Mutton Bustin' committee and helps man the chute while the kids are loaded on the sheep.

Mean little kid

This little kid came over to Hudson and was so nice, then suddenly 10 seconds after this picture, it lowered its head and rammed Hudson in the chest.

Glad llama's are funny

Seeing the llama made Hudson forget about the "mean" little kid.

Laughing at the rings

I love making Hudson laugh. It truly brings me joy and I can repeat whatever is tickling him for as long as he'll let me. Here I'm just rolling his rings across the coffee table to him over and over and over again.

Trying to find my book

It's just so hard to find a favorite book. :)

I love my toys

was empty and the just laid there playing.

Front row at bubble time

When the bubbles came out, Hudson ceased to remember I existed. He was
front and center, eyes on the bubbles!

Still love swinging

Doesn't he look like such a big boy? (Or maybe it's the walking!)

A big day

It all started with the morning nap. Hudson wasn't hearing a thing about it.

But as it turned out, he just had a lot on his mind.

Tonight, when I came home from work, Hudson stood up and took about 5 steps towards me. His previous record of the last month is 1 step, but now he advanced to the PLURAL number of steps all the way to five!

He was so smiley and cute. Christine and I looked at each other, not believing it. Of course I'm sad, since this officially signifies the end of "baby" and onto "toddler." I'd rinse and repeat the whole thing over and over again if I could. But he's such a good boy that we'll forgive him for growing up so fast.

Good morning!

Good morning!

was nice enough to look up for 3 seconds from ball popping, book
