My heart is warm

I was cleaning the kitchen when I realized that nobody was around. I should have known that when buela and papa are here, bath time is a spectator sport!!

We also had a birthday party for papa tonight in which Hudson practiced "blow candles" with the beautiful cake Hudson had decorated for the occasion. He will be ready for his birthday in less than two weeks! (boo hoo)

Papa and Buela brought a bike!

We can't believe Hudson's birthday is less than 2 weeks away. Buela and Papa came for a visit and brought the coolest balance bike. Hudson loves it! He's still not sure on the "hat" (helmet) though. :)

First time on the potty

We are ages from potty training but brought it home just to see what happened. A fun new toy!

First time to Chuck E. Cheese

Hudson went to his (4yr old) friend Joseph's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese today. He was in sensory overload with the lights, sound effects and music everywhere. (It's that similar feeling to walking into a Vegas Casino only for kids)

Currently he's a pretty "cheap date" since he much preferred rides not bouncing or moving around. Loved pop-a-shot basketball and skee ball. (not sure the mgt liked is overhand skee ball throw though)

Gettin' it Started @ lunch

Hudson started bustin' a move while eating lunch today. Once again, The Black Eyed Peas get him dancing. (May need to listen closely or have your speakers up to catch the music)

Naptime, but I might need some friends

Hudson and I were reading books after lunch when he jumped off my lap, said night-night and proceeded to put his bus and car through the crib slats. The video is what quickly followed. Note how many "friends" were also ready for a nap and how serious Hudson was too. Within 5 minutes everyone in the crib was sound asleep. :)

Friendly neighborhood chickens

Austin's motto is "Keep Austin Weird" and our neighbors' efforts to fulfill that are by raising chickens in the middle of the city. (Another one has a pet pig)

Hudson needs to make a daily visit to see the pig and the chickens on his way to the park. Today he got the bonus of being invited in to meet the chickens and learn all their names! We got to look at their coop and the hutch for the babies too. Hudson even got to take home an egg for breakfast.
