To get him to look, I had to say Don't look at mommy! That's our Hudson!

Cat in the Hat
We have a new Whole Foods, and we went to see and give a high five to their special guests. Fun!

Feet
In case we needed one more example of how Hudson marches to the beat of his own drum, check out his feet. To my knowledge, he has never seen anyone else wear two different shoes. At least they are both KEENs!

Happy Mother's Day!
I was so lucky that Hudson shared my breakfast in bed and brought me a Superman card. (Luckily he knows I love super heroes!)
He also brought me a treasured gift. I must admit I had a slight HINT about what it might be, from this conversation earlier this week:
Me: What did you do at school today? (not expecting any actual information, as usual)
H (giving me details for the first time ever): Made you a necklace
Me: Oh how nice! Is it a surprise for Mothers Day?
H: Yes, it's for Monsters Day.
Me: Then Shhh... let's keep it a secret!
H: OK, it's a heart.
I love it so much, and so does Hudson. He wants to wear it, so he decided we could share it. (Who am I as a mother not to encourage sharing?!)

My Super Room
Hudson now has his own Super big boy room. DeeDee and Mommy did a great job on his super hero painting. And now Hudson has bunk beds with Spider-man and Batman sheets for when a friend stays over.

Is it Spider-man??
Our new neighborhood had a spring party today at our park, and Hudson insisted on going on the bungee jump. He was so determined that he waited in line patiently with Daddy for 20 minutes to get a turn. As you can tell by his smile, he thought it was worth the wait.

New playground to conquer
Hudson finally had an evening to checkout the playground in our new neighborhood. He got to ride his bike over from the new house for the first of many times.

Big Kitty
Hudson liked the "big kitty" in the lobby of the Gage Hotel in Marathon, TX when we stopped for lunch today.

Hat
Hudson loves the story of cousin Truman when he was a baby putting stuff on his head and saying HAT. The best time was when he dumped a bowl of cereal on his head and said HAT. So Hudson often relives this story by putting things on his head. Today when I gave Hudson his new Spiderman Easter basket, he immediately said, looks like a hat! So cute!
