Hudson went to the production Erth: Dinosaur Petting Zoo where he got to pet a baby dinosaur, saw a 3' dragonfly fly through the crowd and eventually got up his nerve to touch the T. Rex on the tail.

All of the dinosaurs were the most ornate and lifelike puppets you've ever seen. The T. Rex even chased after a few volunteers from the crowd that had come up to feed and help the trainer. (You can see the actors legs in between the T. Rex legs.) Hudson thought it was cool, but the T. Rex was a little scary sometimes.

Very sunny, but chilly morning for the annual Rodeo Austin cowboy breakfast.

Our Little Bruce Lee

Hudson got to try his hand with nunchuks today at his Life Ki-Do class. 

Watch out Bruce Lee and all breakables 48 inches or lower in our house. 

(Hudson is in the center, just to the right of the girl in the red shirt. About halfway back in the class.)

... Should I give Daddy a bite?

Hudson did his four year old appointment on his birthday. Here are the stats, which you can feel free to ignore unless you are a grandparent who loves the details. 

He did an overall great checkup. Most kids are coming in with at least some respiratory issues, but he was crystal clear.

41.5" tall (90th percentile- tracking to be 6'1" as an adult)
34 lbs (60th percentile)
20/20 vision (great - many 4 yr olds haven't developed to 20/20 yet)
Great hearing - heard the softest sounds in the test. (Hears sounds that adults can't hear)

Both Dr Dawson and the nurse commented about how few 4 yr olds follow instructions and behave as well as Hudson did. So overall, we were happy and proud.

Hudson got to meet Capt. America, Spider-man, Iron Man, Thor, and Bevo at the university co-op at The University of Texas today.

Thanks to my daddy (with help from Dee Dee and Grandaddy), Hudson got a new sandbox for his birthday. It's super fun!
